Luscious Lemon Dessert

1 container cool whip
¼ lb. Margarine, softened
1 c. flour
½ c. chopped nuts
2 T. granulated sugar
8 oz. Cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
2 small pkg. Lemon INSTANT pudding
3 c. milk

Bottom Layer:
Cut softened margarine into flour.
Add granulated sugar until it is the size of small peas.
Mix in nuts.
Spread into 9 x 13” pan. Press down until smooth and even in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes and let cool.

2nd layer:
Cream together sugar and cream cheese.
Stir in 1 c. cool whip.
Spread on cooled bottom layer.

3rd layer:
Whip the pudding according to instructions on pkg, but use only 3 c. milk.
Spread evenly over top of cake.
Refrigerate for a few hours, a whole day is better.
Before serving, spread the rest of cool whip over it.

This must be kept in the refrig or it will spoil.
