Pecan Crunch

1 box (about 16 oz) Kellogg's Cinnamon Crunch Crispix
1 box (about 16 oz) Toasted Oatmeal Squares
1 cup (or a little more) coarsely chopped pecans
2/3 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
6 tbs butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda

1) Heat oven to 250, spray 1 large baking pan (I used a sided cookie baking size pan) with non-stick cooking spray. Combine cereal and pecans in pan; set aside.
2) In large microwaveable bowl combine sugar, corn syrup and butter; microwave on high 90 seconds. Stir. Microwave again for 30 seconds or until boiling. Remove and stir in vanilla and baking soda.
3) Pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat evenly.
4) Bake one hour, stirring mixture about every 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Break into pieces if needed. Store in airtight container.
